MySQL/MariaDB

You can also run Xpert-Timer with a MySQL/MariaDB server. To do this, select the MySQL/MariaDB option in the "Databases" menu item in XTAdmin.

If you do not yet have a MariaDB or MySQL database environment installed, you will need to do so. XTAdmin offers you the option of installing MariaDB version 10.5 directly here.

To create a new database, use the default database name "XT" and select "Create new database." If the access data is entered correctly, the database will be created on the database server. Please note that you must have the necessary user rights to create a new database. This is not automatically the case. You should therefore log in with the root user or a user with the highest rights.

ODBC drivers are no longer necessary when connecting to MariaDB/MySQL. We provide the necessary .dll for establishing the connection in the setup.

Installation instructions for the MariaDB server can be found here: https://mariadb.com/get-started-with-mariadb/
