By default, network access to the server is disabled in the MS-SQL settings. To enable this, go to Start menu -> Microsoft SQL Server 20xx -> Configuration Tools, activate the "SQL Server Configuration Manager" tool and enable the TCP/IP protocol under "SQL Server 20xx Express Network Configuration." Make sure that each SQL instance has its own network settings. You may need to enable TCP/IP there. Restart the SQL Server. Also check whether the SQL Server browser service has been started. You can also do this via the Configuration Manager. |
Download the Xpert-Timer setup for Xpert-Timer from our website:
https://download.xperttimer.de/XTInstDE.exe
Start the setup. You will be guided through the installation routine. Once the setup is complete, XTAdmin will start automatically to set up the database.
Once the connection has been established, you must now create a new database on the SQL Server.
Assign a database name. For example: XTV10
Once the connection is established, the database is now created on the server.

The XTAdmin program will then open and display the current database connection.
You can now install Xpert-Timer on a network path or on any computer and establish the database connection.
Good luck!
