This is the main screen of your XTAdmin. Here you can set the "main database" (default) to which all employees are connected. However, if you want to test the system with other databases, you can create additional connections and connect to them. The selection list allows you to easily switch between different databases.

The database you are currently connected to is displayed in green.

Please note that only the user "XTADMIN" in XTAdmin can see all the selection menus on the left-hand side. All other users cannot see many of the options. It is best to log in using the standard user "XTADMIN" via the login dialog. The default password after installation is also "xtadmin". You should change this password to prevent unauthorized employees from accessing the system.

 

Use the "New Connection" button to establish a new database connection. Select "Create New Database" if there is no Xpert-Timer database on your system yet.

You can also create a new MS-SQL or MySQL database. To do this, you must have sufficient rights in the Windows system to create a database on the respective server.

 

Only when you set the database connection as "Default" will Xpert-Timer access this database when it starts. You can set the database connection by right-clicking on the corresponding connection or by checking the "Default" box in the connection dialog:
