Open task management in your project manager via the menu item Window -> "Tasks."

Compared to the integrated task list, task management offers significantly expanded search and filter options:
In addition to subject, text, notes, customers, project, or employees, tasks can also be filtered by date.

The Xpert-Timer task list allows you to document the entire processing of a task in detail. The typical workflow is as follows:.
1. Create and assign:
A task is created and assigned to an employee (e.g., "Doris Example"). Initially, its status is "Not started." If the "Create new note" checkbox is selected, all changes to the status or "Comment" field are documented.

Status changes and notes:
If the task status is set to "In progress," a note is automatically created. Further status changes (e.g., to "Problem") or comments are also recorded.

3. Forwarding:
Ms. Example makes the necessary phone call and finds out that the customer wants to speak to another contact person. In this case, Ms. Example sets the task status to "Problem" and enters a new note. She also forwards the task to her colleague Mr. Schmidt. The notes make the entire process transparent and traceable.

Mr. Schmidt now sees the task in his task list and can use the notes to track exactly what activity has been performed for the task.
In Xpert-Timer, up to five additional individual (free) statuses can be configured in addition to the default statuses. These free statuses 1-5 can be named by double-clicking.

You can also influence the order of the list displayed when setting a status. Assign the order accordingly in the "Order" column. If you do not see the column, right-click on a column header to display the corresponding column.

When selecting the status in the task list, you will see the following:

Other important functions related to tasks include:
