Export and import options

The Xpert Timer program offers you various options for importing and exporting data, which we will discuss in more detail below:

Customer import

Import and export in XTAdmin

Importing emails from Outlook and Thunderbird

Export to Excel

 

Customer import

Customer management allows you to import existing customer lists into Xpert-Timer. The following import formats are available: Importing customer lists via .csv, importing from Outlook (additional module: Outlook module), and importing from vCard. Detailed information on customer import can be found in the chapter Customer Import.

Import via .csv

XTAdmin allows you to import data in text format (csv) into Xpert-Timer. When exporting, the data is saved in XML format. Please note that only the XTADMIN user can import or export data. Details on importing and exporting in XTAdmin can be found in the chapter Import and Export in XTAdmin.

Outlook import

After activating the Outlook/Thunderbird module, the Outlook buttons are visible to the employee in the task list. This allows you to either export emails to Outlook and Thunderbird or import emails into the task list. Please refer to the chapter "Outlook/Thunderbird and Tasks" in this manual and the chapter Importing Emails from Outlook and Thunderbird.

Excel export

In many areas of Xpert-Timer, you can export your data to Excel for further processing. To do this, Excel export must be activated in the configuration. You will find the setting in the Advanced -> General area. After activation, buttons for Excel export are available in many areas. If you do not see them, they may be hidden. You can display the export button by right-clicking on the button bar. For more details, see the chapter Exporting to Excel.
