Create new customer

Select the green plus sign in clients  to create a new customer.

In the first step, assign a meaningful customer name that will also appear in your project manager. If you do not want to enter any further data for the customer, you can stop entering data at this point. This allows you to use the customer level in the project manager, but no details about the customer are recorded.

 

Enter customer data

If you want to enter invoices for customers, you must specify at least one billing address in customer management.

 

If you want to enter additional customer data, click on the green plus sign in the "Create new customer" dialog box.

Another dialog box will open where you can enter all the necessary data for the contact.

If the official name of the company is too long and you only need it on your invoice, you can enter a separate customer name in the "New Contact" dialog box. This will then be used for the invoice, while the short company name will appear in your Project Manager.

The "Pos./Department" line is used to sort your contact within the list of contact addresses. You can enter multiple addresses for a customer.

Free mailing address

Use the free mailing address to enter address formats that do not comply with the German standard. For example, addresses from the USA. The "Free mailing address" overwrites the data entered in the individual fields.

 

The customer data entered appears in the Xpert-Timer system as follows:
