Project Manager

Each project in Xpert-Timer is assigned a project manager (project leader). You can assign the project manager either via the project properties in the "Employees" tab or by right-clicking in the "Responsible" column in the project manager. Responsible person 2 has the same rights as responsible person 1. You can specify two responsible persons in case one of them is on vacation, for example.

 

You can grant the project manager additional access rights via the rights groups. For example, the project manager can also view the times recorded by the employees in his project. The rights management allows you to display an additional tab for the project manager in various areas of Xpert-Timer:

1. In the project manager

The "Project manager sees all projects under his responsibility" right makes the additional "Project manager" tab visible in the Project Manager. This allows the employee to see all projects for which he is set as project manager at a glance.

 

 

The overview thus allows for a quick evaluation of the projects.

In customer management

The project manager's rights also apply in customer management. There, the customer view can be filtered as follows:

1. "Only own customers":

The result is a list of all customers with projects to which the employee is assigned.

2. "Project manager":

The result is a list of all customers with projects for which the employee is set as project manager.

 

If you want the employee to see all customers created in customer management, you must also assign the "See all customers" right. This will display a third filter area, which will show all created customers as a result.

In the evaluation

In the evaluation area, the project manager can also choose between viewing their own data records, i.e., the data records of the projects to which they are assigned, and viewing the project manager's data records.

 

This makes it easy to create meaningful evaluations about an employee and specific customers.
